Tom Driscoll was born in Rochester, NY in 1949. As a child, he attended St. Anne's Parish on Mt. Hope Avenue in Rochester.
He received his education from St. Anne School, Aquinas Institute, St. John Fisher College (B.A. Sociology), St. John’s University (M.A. Theology) and Colgate Rochester Divinity School Doctor of Ministry).
He is married to Michele Szembrot, who's descendants are hte Hemmer and the Michels of Dansville/ Wayland/Perkinsville. Tom and Michele have four children (Brendan Matthew Driscoll, Kevin Andrew Driscoll, Padraic Francis Driscoll and Aisling Brigid Driscoll).
Tom's previous ministries have included St. John the Evangelist, Spencerport; St. Bernard’s School of Theology & Ministry, St. Louis, Pittsford; St. Jerome, East Rochester and St. James, Rochester.
His hobbies include genealogy, Irish History & Culture and Ballroom Dancing. His favorite sport to watch is ice hockey and his favorite sports teams are the NY Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates and Montreal Canadiens.
Tom likes to listen to the radio and enjoys the "Prairie Home Companion" and "Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me." Tom likes to listen to Bluegrass, Drum & Bugle Corps and Irish Traditional.
In his free time, he is writing a book on Finding God in the Messiness of Life. |
